Principal Investigator

Mariana joined ASU as an assistant professor in Dec. 2012. Prior to this, she held senior scientist positions at two emerging start-up firms in the photovoltaic industry (Integrated Photovoltaics, Inc. and 1366 Technologies, Inc.) and a visiting scientist appointment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2010-2012). Her previous postgraduate experience includes a postdoctoral associate position at MIT (2008-2010), a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship in Germany (2007-2008) and a visiting researcher appointment at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Mariana received her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2007 from Northwestern University for her work on earth abundant transparent conducting oxides, and a Diploma and a BE in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
