Dr. Laura Ding
Laura joined the Defect Lab as postdoctoral associate in March 2014. Her research focuses on the characterization of materials to be used as selective contacts for high-efficiency silicon solar cells. Previously, she was working with the Photovoltaics and Thin Film Electronics Laboratory of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédéral de Lausanne (EPFL), in Switzerland, on the opto-electrical properties of polycrystalline zinc oxide films as electrodes for thin-film silicon solar cells (2009-2014). She received her Ph.D. in Material Science (2013), M.Sc. in Molecular and Biological Chemistry (2009) and B.Sc. in Chemistry (2007) from the EPFL, Switzerland. Outside of the lab, Laura likes traveling and hiking, reading, experimental cooking and crossword puzzles.
