Research Technologist

Joswin Leslie completed his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Anna
University, India and moved to US in 2016 for his Masters. He graduated from
M.S. Engineering from ASU in Summer 2018, focusing his work on Applied
Photovoltaics at ASU-PRL where he worked for 18 months. During his time at
ASU-PRL, he gained a lot of knowledge and experience on characterization
techniques, accelerated testing and outdoor testing of PV modules and did his
thesis on “Dependence of Toxicity Test Results on Sample Removal Methods of PV
Modules”. As a Research Technologist at DEfECT laboratory, he is currently
working on water-induced interfacial degradation in PV modules and focusing to
contribute his skills in the research of solar cells. Apart from research, he loves to
play ping-pong and badminton, and watches soccer a lot. He is always ready to go
for unplanned road trips with friends during weekends and holidays and get away
from technology.
